The costume is a mix of a serving costume, like a car hop costume and the traditional gear that Bavarian men wear when they take to the stage. It’s not an accurate representation of the lederhosen and suspenders as this is pretty pricey gear but nonetheless it is a good representation at a reasonable price.

So the costume consists of red colored ‘lederhosen’. The real thing would be a tan leather color but this is just a fun costume. The pants are quite short to the extent that you could call them hot pants but they don’t ride high at the back like typical hot pants. The lederhosen look goes up to just below the bust where it is replaced by a white peasant style, ruffled blouse. Thus includes a ruffled look around the neckline and the shoulder sleeves.

The lederhosen is attached to a thick looking black pair of suspenders with a floral daisy pattern on the middle part of the suspenders.

In keeping with the Alpine or Bavarian style of this costume, you also get a hat that looks like something they would wear, with a faux pheasant feather on one side. Complement the costume with knee high socks for that Alpine look.

This is quite a simple costume but is very original and distinctive. You are sure to go down a treat at a German themed party like Oktoberfest celebrations or save it for the Halloween party to make a real splash.
